TORONTO – Internationally acclaimed chef Susur Lee takes command of the stage at the third annual CRFA Show, March 7 – 9, 2010 at the Direct Energy Centre in downtown Toronto, where he will provide insight into his provocative and innovative cooking style.
One of Canada’s foremost food artists, chef Susur Lee won acclaim in the late 1980s with his first restaurant Lotus, which was called the finest in the country. He currently owns LEE, a tapas-style restaurant in Toronto, and Madeline’s beside it.
Susur Lee is now based in New York City where he created Shang, a restaurant in the upscale Thompson LES hotel in the Lower East Side. Shang features an old style Asian menu in a modern environment.
Susur Lee is a daring and original chef constantly reinventing an Asian fusion style that blends the complex traditions of China with classical French cuisine.
