Media Advisory: CRFA to call for EI changes and restaurant task force


Who: Representatives of the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association (CRFA) will appear before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance.
Topic: In its pre-budget submission, CRFA will ask for:
  • a Private/Public Sector Task Force to study the central role of restaurants in Canada and make recommendations to promote and grow this industry;
  • changes to the employment insurance (EI) model to reduce the burden of job-killing payroll taxes.
