Quebec simplifies food safety reporting
(Dec. 15/11) Following CRFA meetings with the Ministry of Agriculture, MAPAQ has followed our suggestion to increase food safety reporting content on its website (as in Nova Scotia), instead of using Toronto’s red-yellow-green food safety reporting system.
In extensive meetings with Agriculture Minister Pierre Corbeil, Deputy Minister Dominique Fortin, and Chief of Staff for the Agriculture Minister Frédéric Lagacé, CRFA has consistently opposed adoption of Toronto’s system because of its misrepresentation of minor food safety violations.
