(Jan. 30/12) Nova Scotia’s minimum wage will increase on April 1, 2012, as follows:
After three years of multiple increases far in excess of other economic indicators, restaurateurs can take some comfort that this will be the only raise in the next 12 months.
The 1.5 per cent hike in the regular minimum wage is based on the Low-Income Cut Off for 2012. However, this increase makes Nova Scotia’s minimum wage the highest in the region.
