Pushing for a tax win for PEI licensees
(Sep. 12/12) Sales tax harmonization should be a tax win, not tax grab. That’s why CRFA followed up on discussions with PEI Provincial Treasurer Wes Sheridan to ensure licensees and their customers fully benefit when the new HST is introduced next April. Due to experiences in other provinces, CRFA wants to make sure the provincial liquor monopoly does not use harmonization as an opportunity for a hidden tax grab.
